NEWS: Tender for computers cancelled

BELGRADE — The tender for purchasing 30,000 computers for Serbian schools and universities has been cancelled.

The reason is because only one of the four registered bidders fulfilled the criteria of the competition, according to the Education and Sport Ministry.

The tender was closed on November 13, but the remainder of the process was postponed due to the shortcomings of the bidders and the documents they submitted.

The purchase of the new computers will be financed by the National Investment Plan and this will be the largest venture of its kind in Serbia.
