Jat serves 1.13 million in 2006

BELGRADE — Jat Airways has served 1.13 million passengers in the first eleven months of 2006.

This is an 18 percent increase, compared to last year’s numbers.

The aircrafts are also two percent fuller this year than last, with a 59 percent capacity in 2006.

The number of passengers traveling to Montenegro increased by 42 percent and Mediterranean travel increased by 16 percent, while the number of chartered flights fell off by six percent compared to 2005.

In November alone, 75,170 passengers traveled with Jat.

Its aircrafts were in the air on an average of 8 hours and 35 minutes per day, which is 21 percent more than the same period last year. JAT has also flown 33,673 hours this year, 15 percent more than in 2005
