The absolutely worst thing about our Belgrade tour was the Royal Hotel (Toplice). For starters: 89 Euros per night, luxury (that’s how they classify that room) room. Now, the army style barrack with bathroom with a dirty bathtub and the shower missing a shower head… nice. Oh, forgot, curtain hanging on just three curtain hooks. Moving further: lice and some other blood-sucking bugs were found in the bed at approx 3 am, when my wife woke me up saying she was bitten by something. Tiny wall-mounted AC unit for some reason located not in the bedroom, so you can consider AC non-existent, just prepare yourself for a sleepless night. There are two elevators, beware not to use the one that goes all the way down to the basement, it smells like a restroom for homeless people, or get a gas mask if you have to use it. The hotel stuff looked as if they were having a bad hangover, or something else making them to be not very friendly. Avoid this place at any cost.
